Serdal Adalı: I smelled something fishy, I reported it to the prosecutor's office

Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı was a guest on Candaş Tolga Işık's program on EkolTV.

Serdal Adalı made significant statements regarding the expenditures made by the previous administration at Beşiktaş and the club's increasing debts.

Regarding his experiences during his struggle for Beşiktaş, Serdal Adalı stated, "You don't hold a grudge against Beşiktaş; I did not give up."

"I SMELLED SOMETHING FISHY"

Speaking about the fact that Beşiktaş's total debt, which stands at 8 billion lira, increased by 7 billion lira within one year, Serdal Adalı said, "Tenders were awarded without receiving bids. Whatever we said after taking office, we found it in our laps. These were things we saw from the outside during the election period. Yes, I smelled something fishy, and I went to the prosecutor's office. Is it normal for the same project, which was done for 700 thousand euros, to be done for 1 million 400 thousand euros for Beşiktaş? The prosecutor's office will take it from here. I don't have a thought like, 'There is an election in 3 months, let me leave it for after the election.' I have no fear either. The General Assembly has given us the authority. We will do whatever is right until the end. Whenever I see a single penny [misspent], I will go to the prosecutor's office again."

"WORK ON THE AUDIT REPORT CONTINUES"

Serdal Adalı said, "There are transfers above market value. I don't find it right either. The footballer is not to blame for this. When a 12 million euro transfer fee is paid, it doesn't go into the footballer's pocket. But as these things are talked about, the footballer is inevitably affected by it. Work on the audit report continues. Letters have been written abroad regarding how the transfers were made and who was paid what. Of course, we will investigate. It is Beşiktaş's money. There is a debt accumulated over 122 years, and an equal amount was created in just one year. It naturally hurts. Wherever we see a deficiency or a mistake, we will pursue it."

"EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DELETED"

Serdal Adalı described the events at Beşiktaş, stating, "It was a hacker attack that began a week or ten days before the elections and continued afterward. We also received help from a professional team. Finally, it was determined on February 6th what was done and how. They tried to create a reverse perception on social media, claiming things like 'Serdal Adalı's team deleted the accounts on February 6th.' But everything on the club's servers had been deleted. Specifically, none of the files needed by the Audit Committee exist. Emails were deleted, correspondence is gone, and logs were wiped. Even the things we thought 'there must be a backup there' were deleted. Files related to procurement are missing, and almost all of the emails are gone."
