Sergen Yalçın returns to Beşiktaş
After bidding farewell to Europe following a home defeat to Swiss side Lausanne, Beşiktaş has parted ways with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Black and Whites have reached an agreement with Sergen Yalçın for the managerial position.

Beşiktaş was eliminated from Europe after a lackluster 1-0 defeat at home to Swiss side Lausanne in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League play-off round last night.
Following the match, the board of directors held an emergency meeting and decided to terminate the contract of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to a report by TRT Spor, following the departure of the Norwegian coach, the Beşiktaş management has reached an agreement with Sergen Yalçın for the managerial role.
The experienced coach will lead his first training session with the Black and Whites today.
Beşiktaş is expected to sign a 2-year contract with Sergen Yalçın.

Beşiktaş experienced its last Süper Lig championship in the 2020-2021 season under the management of Sergen Yalçın. The Black and Whites achieved a double that same season by also winning the Turkish Cup.
Sergen Yalçın, who managed Beşiktaş between January 2020 and December 2021, was in charge of the team for 79 official matches during this period. The Black and Whites recorded 45 wins, 10 draws, and 24 losses in these matches.
Under Yalçın's management, Beşiktaş achieved an average of 1.84 points per match during that period.
