Sivasspor's Yunus Emre Konak is heading to the Premier League!

A major suitor has emerged for Sivasspor's young midfielder Yunus Emre Konak. Premier League side Brentford has made an official offer for the Sivasspor player. Following the final negotiations between the parties, a deal has largely been reached for the transfer. 

The development was also confirmed by David Ornstein of The Athletic, who reported that the transfer is complete. Once the official signatures are finalized, the Premier League club Brentford will pay a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros to Sivasspor. The agreement will also include bonus clauses.

Meanwhile, Yunus Emre Konak will initially play for Brentford's B Team.

A EUROPEAN FAVORITE

Having drawn attention with his performance for Sivasspor this season, Yunus Emre Konak's name has been linked with many major European clubs, particularly the giants of the Süper Lig. The 17-year-old Yunus Emre Konak has recorded 1 assist in 17 official matches for Sivasspor this season.

On the other hand, Sivasspor manager Bülent Uygun told Anadolu Agency regarding Yunus Emre Konak: "Currently, the most talented player I have watched in Turkey in 30 years is Yunus Emre Konak at Sivasspor. He is a complete player with his physique, tempo, game vision, and mentality. The only thing Yunus needs to do is think professionally, work hard, and develop himself accordingly."

HE DREAMED OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Yunus Emre Konak, who was included in The Guardian's list of "The 60 best young talents in world football born in 2006," stated in an interview in August, "I have a dream of going to Europe." The 17-year-old, who took his first steps into professional football this season and was given a chance in the starting eleven by Servet Çetin, has caught the attention of many clubs with his successful play.

Yunus Emre Konak, who began his football career at Batman Tüpraşspor and later transferred to the Sivasspor youth academy, said in an interview in October, "We worked very well with our coaches in the youth academy. Ambition, desire, and hard work brought success. I think I have received the reward for my efforts."

Commenting on his inclusion in The Guardian's list, Yunus Emre said, "I was surprised and very happy when I saw my name on the list. It is a source of pride for my team and for me."

NATIONAL TEAM, REAL MADRID

In his October interview, Yunus Emre expressed that his first goal was to wear the A National Team jersey, saying the following;

"I went to the Turkey U21 National Team for the first time and found a chance to play there as well. I came on as a substitute and I think I performed well. My goal is the Turkey A National Team; I hope to wear that jersey. My long-term goal is to play in Europe. I want to progress by working hard and fighting well. My goal also includes playing for Real Madrid."
