The extraordinary general assembly meeting of Sivasspor was held at the Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Hall with the participation of Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, AK Party Sivas deputies Rukiye Toy and Hakan Aksu, Sivas Mayor Adem Uzun, TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz, Head Coach Osman Zeki Korkmaz, provincial protocol members, and delegates.

During the general assembly, the management and audit board reports were read, and the balance sheet was approved.

"A BRAVE PERSON RISES FROM WHERE THEY FALL"

Sivasspor's new president, Gökhan Karagöl, stated, "I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to Sivasspor since 1967, and I also express my gratitude to President Mecnun, who has lived in the heart and life of this club for 20 years. It was an unlucky season. They worked very hard; unfortunately, it is a result that no one wanted. I would like to express my endless thanks to President Bahattin Eken and his management here as well.

I also thank our board members who will bear all kinds of loyalty as a result of the decision we made 10 days ago. Sivas is my ancestral land. In the name of unity and solidarity in this city, we said 'A brave person rises from where they fall' and put not just our hands, but our entire bodies under this responsibility. Hopefully, we will pray to return to our home next year, work day and night, and do our best to bring the happiness our city and all Sivas residents around the world deserve. The club's financial structure, financial discipline, and debt structure are indispensable for us. Our job is very difficult this year.

We will carry out clear, memorable projects without producing too many. We are planning to implement the '1 million 58 thousand SMS' project, which people can reach very quickly, in the coming days. One of the most important factors for us is our fans, who are seen as the 12th man but are the 1st man for us. Our fans, who love Sivasspor and believe in it wholeheartedly, and who will support us from our first match to our last, will be our 1st man. We need to press all the buttons this year so that we can get on that podium at the end of the season, experience happiness together, and do our best to return to our home. My request from you is to continue to show your support from now on," he said.

OTYAKMAZ: LET US ALL SUPPORT SİVASSPOR TOGETHER

TFF Vice President Otyakmaz said, "Thinking that the club should not be left in the middle after me, I consulted with my friends and gained experience in Sivasspor by including our young fellow citizens in our administrations. I stayed at this club for one more year because my plan was to take a role in the Turkish Football Federation. However, when conditions progressed a bit quickly, I left this duty and became a candidate for the TFF. I made this decision after the conversation I had with İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. Unfortunately, I had to leave Sivasspor. Perhaps it was an untimely departure. As a result, I feel a bit uncomfortable because our club has unfortunately been relegated, but I trusted our friends. President Bahattin and his management did their best amidst these economic difficulties. However, they did not receive much support. Because our matches were played with very few fans again. We could not establish superiority over any opponent in terms of fans. Therefore, things went badly for us. President Gökhan and his team will overcome these challenges, so my conscience is clear. Please do not withhold your support from the management; let us all support them together and return to our good days," he said.
