Veteran sports writer Hayri Hiçler has passed away. The Turkish Journalists Association (TGC) has issued a message of condolence for Hiçler. The announcement stated that Hiçler will be laid to rest at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.

Experienced sports writer Hayri Hiçler, a member of the Turkish Journalists Association and holder of a Permanent Press Card, has passed away.
The Board of Directors of the Turkish Journalists Association (TGC) issued a message of condolence following the death of Hayri Hiçler. The statement included the following remarks:
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our member Hayri Hiçler, who served the journalism profession successfully for many years. We extend our condolences to our colleague's family and our press community."
Hayri Hiçler's funeral will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, following the afternoon prayer at Zincirlikuyu Mosque, after which he will be laid to rest at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
