In his statement, Benzema said, "I am no longer the Benzema from Real Madrid. The game and the players here are very different." The French star also noted that the team has been weak in providing him with support, telling Getfootballnewsfrance, "I cannot win matches alone; I need help on the pitch."
Benzema, who joined Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad from Real Madrid on a free transfer at the beginning of this season, has scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in the 26 matches he has played for his team.
