Real Madrid player Arda Güler, who became a topic of discussion following the derby between Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, has made a statement regarding the matter.

Speaking to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the 19-year-old footballer said, "I liked the photo because they are my older brothers from the National Team, but as soon as I saw the caption underneath, I immediately withdrew the like. I would never want to hurt Fenerbahçe fans. They have a very special place for me. That is why I removed it immediately."

Arda Güler's liking of Kerem Aktürkoğlu's post saying "Istanbul is yellow and red" and Barış Alper Yılmaz's post saying "Rejoice Cimbom, rejoice" quickly became a trending topic on social media.

Following the backlash, Arda Güler removed his likes from the posts by Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Barış Alper Yılmaz.
