Beşiktaş Club has released a statement regarding the tension that occurred during the match between Kocaelispor and Beşiktaş in the Turkish Cup.

Regarding the incidents where stadium seats were ripped out and thrown, and where the police intervened, Beşiktaş Club issued the following statement:
"Statement from Our Club
We are closely monitoring the unfortunate events that took place in the stands during our away match against Kocaelispor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup.
As a result of the contacts established by our President Serdal Adalı and our Board Members with the relevant authorities since the beginning of the incidents, which we do not approve of in any way, our fans will be released shortly.
Our greatest priority is always and everywhere the safety and well-being of our fans.
We convey our best wishes for a speedy recovery to our fans who are returning home.
We will closely follow the process until every single one of our fans reaches their home safely.
