In the statement released by the yellow-navy club, it was stated: "The claims appearing today in some media outlets and social media platforms, suggesting that our Club President Aziz Yıldırım made evaluations regarding the future of our player İrfan Can Kahveci and that a meeting took place between our President and our Technical Director İsmail Kartal, are completely baseless.
Not only has our President made no such statement or evaluation, but no meeting has taken place between our President and our Technical Director İsmail Kartal as alleged.
In order to ensure the public is correctly informed, we kindly request that developments concerning our club be followed only through statements made via our official communication channels, and we bring to the attention of the public that these claims and reports, which do not reflect the truth, should not be given any credence."
