Statement from Gençlerbirliği regarding Eryaman Stadium!

Gençlerbirliği has released a statement on its official website regarding the match it will play against Bandırmaspor.

In the statement made by the capital city team, it was noted that the match against Bandırmaspor will be played at Aktepe Stadium because the Ankaragücü - Galatasaray match is scheduled to take place at Eryaman Stadium.

The statement from Gençlerbirliği is as follows:

"It has been determined by the TFF and our club that the pitch at Eryaman Stadium, which we share with Trendyol Süper Lig team MKE Ankaragücü, has been affected by the recent heavy match schedule, and that the pitch surface will deteriorate further following the match between MKE Ankaragücü and Galatasaray A.Ş. to be played on Sunday, February 18, making the pitch unsuitable for football for our match against Teksüt Bandırma Spor on Monday, February 19.

On this occasion, in a letter sent to our club by the TFF, we were asked to designate a stadium for our match against Teksüt Bandırma Spor on Monday, February 19, and it was stated that if our club did not designate a stadium, the TFF could assign one ex officio.

In order for our remaining home matches in the Trendyol 1. Lig to be played at Eryaman Stadium again and for pitch maintenance work to be carried out effectively, we have decided as a club, upon the request of the TFF, to play at a different stadium until the work at Eryaman Stadium is completed.

As a result of our discussions and correspondence with the TFF, it has been decided upon our request that the Teksüt Bandırma Spor match in the 23rd week of the Trendyol 1. Lig will be played at Aktepe Stadium on Monday, February 19, at 14:00.
