Statement from Hidayet Türkoğlu on Tarık Biberovic

Turkish Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu evaluated the victory of our National Men's Basketball Team against Iceland. Türkoğlu also touched upon Tarık Biberovic, who played his first matches for the National Team and secured the win in the Iceland game. 

Speaking to members of the press at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, Türkoğlu said, "Winning makes us happy both in terms of motivation and experience. But most importantly, it was an exciting process for our fans who packed this arena. As administrators, we look at things differently. We are happy because we won, and we see it as a positive step for the tournament we will participate in. Even though our opponent was Iceland and we won in the final seconds, it was a valuable victory for us."

Referring to Tarık Biberovic, who scored the winning basket, Türkoğlu stated, "It was also very valuable for us that Tarık Biberovic, who recently joined the team, experienced this excitement with the squad. We have clearly seen what we need to do in the coming periods. We have a good summer process ahead of us. We will take the necessary steps gradually. I would like to thank everyone who constantly supports us, fills the arena, and congratulated us afterward."
