A section of the yellow-navy fans reacted to Mert Müldür after Samsunspor's second goal during the match. Speaking about the reactions after the game ended, the player drew attention not only to his performance on the pitch but also to a different incident that occurred in the stands.
The national footballer used the following expressions in his statement:
"I respect the reaction shown to me today. Criticism and reactions are part of football. As a player on the pitch, I always take responsibility for this.
However, the words and heavy insults targeting my fiancée in the stands today truly saddened me. She is not part of football and was only there to support me. Despite this, it is impossible for me to accept that she faced such a situation and had to leave the stadium in tears.
As always, I will continue to fight for this jersey until the last drop of my sweat."
