Former Fenerbahçe national football player Serhat Akın was the victim of an armed attack in Beykoz following a sports program where he worked as a commentator.
Akın, who was shot in the foot, shared a post on his social media account before his surgery at 2:00 PM today.
Stating that he would undergo a difficult surgery, Akın wrote the following in his post:
"The surgery is at 2:00 PM. As far as I understand, it will be a long and difficult surgery! I don't know if I will ever be able to walk again; God is great, He knows. To those who do not come to the hospital, do not call me on the phone, and say 'get well soon to Serhat, but he was criticizing us a lot'!!!! My curse might not hold against those who sent me a message 2 days before I was shot saying 'not long left,' but I am sure the ill wishes of my mother and father will. May you be entrusted to God."
