Statement from Süheyl Batum regarding Okan Buruk and Erden Timur!

The ordinary May council meeting at Galatasaray has begun. The meeting, held at the Galatasaray High School Tevfik Fikret Hall, was chaired by Council President Aykutalp Derkan. As this was the final council meeting before the May 25 elections, the board of directors table was not set up in accordance with the principle of equality.

The council meeting was attended by the club's president and presidential candidate Dursun Özbek, members of the board of directors, presidential candidate Süheyl Batum, former presidents Alp Yalman, Faruk Süren, and Ünal Aysal, members from both candidates' lists, and council members.

Beginning his remarks regarding the upcoming elections at Galatasaray, Süheyl Batum said, "I wish for this to be a positive process for the Galatasaray community, the fans, and the entire sports public. I wish our esteemed president success. I want it to go well for us and for the entire Galatasaray community."

COULD WE BE AGAINST OKAN BURUK?

Stating that they wish to continue with Okan Buruk and Erden Timur if they win the presidential election, Süheyl Batum said, "There are some reports circulating. Things like 'if they come, they will fire Okan Buruk.' I do not believe for a second that you, the Galatasaray fans, would believe this. I and some of my colleagues are people who were in that stadium on the day Okan Buruk broke his leg, people who left a piece of our hearts there. Could we be against Okan Buruk? If we win the election, we consider it a duty to work together with Okan Buruk, the players who provide that combination, and our brother Erden Timur."
