Iran's Ambassador to Ankara, Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh, stated that FIFA is the decision-making authority regarding the match schedule for whether the Iranian National Team will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and that they would be assisted in this matter.

Iran's Ambassador to Ankara, Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh, answered questions from journalists following the friendly match between the Iranian National Football Team and Costa Rica in Antalya today, the first half of which was also attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Habibollahzadeh stated that the schedule for the Iranian National Football Team regarding the World Cup has not yet been determined, that this depends on FIFA's decision, and that they would be assisted in this regard.

Pointing out that one of the responsibilities of the national team is to share the experiences of the people, Habibollahzadeh noted that the national team players displayed photographs of schools, stadiums, and fires hit in attacks, saying, "Therefore, they are expressing their feelings of solidarity and social support."
