Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Honorary President Şenes Erzik made evaluations regarding the current agenda.

In an interview featured on the TFF's official YouTube channel, Erzik said, "I find the discussions regarding the date of the elective financial general assembly to be held on July 18 meaningless."

Reminding that he served as a high-level executive at FIFA and UEFA for many years, Erzik stated, "FIFA set aside a special corner for me inside its museum in Zurich. I gave them the important photographs and objects I had in my possession free of charge. This was very important to me. We also brought the building we are currently in, in Levent, to Turkish football. This place is also like a museum. Today, relations between the TFF and FIFA and UEFA are extremely solid. We are like family with them."

I WAS MOVED TO TEARS

Emphasizing that efforts have been made for many years to host the European Football Championship, Erzik said, "We had previously lost by 1 vote. This time we won. Mr. Mehmet Büyükekşi honored me on the day we were awarded the hosting rights for the 2032 European Football Championship. He presented me with my TFF Honorary President accreditation card with his own hands. I keep the memento of that day in a place of honor in my home. He also gifted me the photograph we all took together that day. I keep that in my home as well. It was a day I was very happy. I was moved to tears," he assessed.

A GOOD TEAM HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED

Touching upon the National Football Team, Erzik concluded his words by saying, "A good team has been established regarding the National Football Team; I find it successful. The choice of Montella was a very correct choice. The future and salvation of Turkish football lie in the youth infrastructure. We must raise our own children."
