Fenerbahçe has signed Çağrı Hakan Balta, the son of former national football player Hakan Balta.

The 17-year-old young center-forward, who stood out as one of the promising names in the Galatasaray youth academy, transferred to the yellow-navy club in exchange for a training compensation fee.

Çağrı Balta took part in his first training session today with Fenerbahçe, which is continuing its preparations for Nottingham Forest.

GALATASARAY UNFOLLOWS

Meanwhile, Galatasaray has unfollowed Hakan Balta and his son Çağrı Hakan Balta on Instagram.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Çağrı Balta, who was playing with a youth license in the Galatasaray academy, had rejected the professional contract offer made to him by the yellow-red club.

In a statement made through the Balta family's lawyer, it was stated that money was secondary for Çağrı and that their only condition for signing a new contract was for him to receive playing time in at least 3 matches throughout this season, but that this request was rejected by the management.

Following these developments, the ties between the 17-year-old footballer and Galatasaray were completely severed.

It is stated that Fenerbahçe will pay a training compensation fee in the range of 3-4 million TL to Galatasaray for Çağrı Hakan Balta.
