The Super Cup belongs to Real Madrid

In the UEFA Super Cup final, Real Madrid defeated Atalanta 2-0 to lift the trophy for the 6th time.

Real Madrid, featuring Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappe, who won the Champions League last season, faced off against Europa League winners Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final.

The match at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, was officiated by Swiss referee Sandro Scharer. Both teams hit the woodwork, and the first half ended goalless. Real Madrid increased the pressure in the second half.

In the 59th minute, Federico Valverde sent the ball into the net following a pass from Junior Vinicius, putting the Spanish side 1-0 ahead. In the 68th minute, Kylian Mbappe scored from a Jude Bellingham cross to double Real Madrid's lead. In the 88th minute, Arda Güler came on as a substitute for Junior Vinicius.

As no further goals were scored in the remaining minutes, Real Madrid left the pitch with a 2-0 victory and claimed the trophy. By winning this cup for the 6th time, Real Madrid also earned the title of the team that has won the most Super Cups.
