Fenerbahçe's withdrawal from the Super Cup match has caused a major stir in Europe. The foreign press carried Fenerbahçe's protest to their headlines.

Fenerbahçe, which took the field with its U19 team for the Super Cup match against Galatasaray, withdrew from the pitch in the 2nd minute of the match. This protest by the yellow-navies made headlines in Europe.

The British newspaper Mirror said regarding the Super Cup match, "Galatasaray won the Turkish Super Cup a minute after Fenerbahçe started the match with U19s and left the pitch."

The Sun, regarding Fenerbahçe's withdrawal from the Super Cup match, used the expressions, "Fenerbahçe players left the pitch in protest. This move was to protest the Turkish Football Federation."

Marca, on the other hand, shared that Fenerbahçe carried out its threat not to play in the Super Cup match.
