Süper Lig clubs have begun the process of collecting notarized signatures to force the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) to hold an extraordinary elective general assembly. If 40% of the delegates provide their signatures, an election must be held within 30 days. It has been reported that the clubs are requesting the election to be held on May 24 or June 6.

The TFF had announced the election date as July 18, but the Süper Lig clubs are demanding that the election take place before EURO 2024.

According to a report on NtvSpor, if the TFF Board of Directors receives notarized signatures from 40% of the delegates, it will be required by statute to hold an extraordinary elective general assembly within one month.

If the federation decides not to hold an election, the voting delegates have the right to take the matter to FIFA.
