En-Nesyri becomes the most expensive transfer in Super Lig history

The player with the highest transfer fee paid during the first transfer and registration period of the 2024-25 Super Lig season was Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri, who was added to the Fenerbahçe squad.

According to notifications made by clubs to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) and official statements until the end of the transfer window, a transfer fee of 19 million 500 thousand euros was paid for Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who transferred to Fenerbahçe from the Spanish team Sevilla.

EN-NESYRI BROKE MARIO JARDEL'S RECORD

The 19 million 500 thousand euro transfer fee announced by the yellow-navy team for Youssef En-Nesyri became the highest amount ever paid for a player in the history of the Super Lig.

The Moroccan player's transfer broke a 24-year record, surpassing the transfer fee paid for Brazilian striker Mario Jardel, who came to Galatasaray from Porto in 2000 for 17 million euros.

After En-Nesyri, Fenerbahçe paid the highest amount for Çağlar Söyüncü. Fenerbahçe, which acquired the permanent rights of the national player who played on loan for the yellow-navy team during the second half of last season, paid 8 million 500 thousand euros to the Spanish team Atletico Madrid for this transfer.

Fenerbahçe, which broke the record with the transfer fee paid for En-Nesyri, also took the top spot in loan fees.

The yellow-navy team broke the Super Lig record in this regard as well by loaning Allan Saint-Maximin from the Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli for 8 million euros. Fenerbahçe also stated in its announcement that the player's annual salary would be paid by Al-Ahli.

SARA IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN GALATASARAY HISTORY

Galatasaray, which finished the last 2 seasons at the top of the Super Lig, strengthened its squad with 6 names.

Midfielder Gabriel Sara, whom the yellow-red team added to its squad from the English Premier League team Norwich, became the most expensive player in Galatasaray history with a transfer fee of 18 million euros.

The yellow-red club also paid 9 million euros for right-back Elias Jelert, whom it added to its squad from the Danish team Copenhagen.

Galatasaray, which sent Italian player Nicolo Zaniolo on loan to Atalanta, broke a league record in this regard as well. Receiving a loan fee of 6 million 400 thousand euros for Zaniolo, the yellow-reds became the team that sent a player to another club on loan for the highest fee in Super Lig history.

61 MILLION EUROS PAID FOR 5 PLAYERS

Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray paid a total of 61 million euros in transfer fees for 5 players during the transfer window.

While the yellow-navy team paid a total of 28 million euros in transfer fees for Youssef En-Nesyri and Çağlar Söyüncü, Galatasaray paid 33 million euros for Gabriel Sara, Elias Jelert, and Roland Sallai. A total of 61 million euros in transfer fees left the coffers of the two clubs for 5 players.

TRABZONSPOR PAID 19 MILLION 670 THOUSAND EUROS

Trabzonspor, which reinforced its squad with 13 names, paid the highest transfer fee for Austrian player Muhammed Cham.

Agreeing with the French team Clermont for 4 million euros for this player, the burgundy-blue team paid a total of 19 million 670 thousand euros for transfer fees and loans during the transfer window.

The Black Sea team, which transferred Serdar Saatçı from Braga for 2 million 500 thousand euros, Pedro Malheiro from Boavista for 2 million euros, Ozan Tufan from Hull City for 2 million euros, and Cihan Çanak from Standard Liege for 2 million euros, also paid a 2 million euro loan fee to the Portuguese team for forward Simon Banza from Braga.

Arseniy Batagov, Denis Draguş, and Okay Yokuşlu were the other names Trabzonspor added to its squad in exchange for transfer fees.

BEŞİKTAŞ ANNOUNCED THE FIGURES TO BE PAID TO PLAYERS

Beşiktaş, which added Emirhan Topçu, Can Keleş, and Ciro Immobile to its squad by paying transfer fees; added Rafa Silva and Gabriel Paulista for free, and Cher Ndour, Joao Mario, and Felix Uduokhai on loan.

Announcing that 6 million euros per year will be paid for striker Ciro Immobile, who was included in the squad from the Italian team Lazio, the black-white club stated that the same amount would be paid annually to Portuguese player Rafa Silva.

Providing information regarding the contract details of Gabriel Paulista, who was transferred from Atletico Madrid, the club announced that this player would be paid a guaranteed fee of 2 million 120 thousand euros for the first 2 years and 2 million 110 thousand euros for the third year, and that a signing bonus of 1 million euros would also be given.

REMARKABLE REVENUE FROM FENERBAHÇE AND GALATASARAY

Super Lig teams also made significant player sales during the transfer window.

National player Ferdi Kadıoğlu, who transferred from Fenerbahçe to the English team Brighton, provided record revenue for his club.

Earning 30 million euros in transfer fees as well as 750 thousand euros in training compensation, Fenerbahçe also achieved the highest-priced player sale in Turkey.

According to the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform, Galatasaray also earned 28 million 650 thousand euros from the names it sold and sent on loan this season.

Sending national player Kerem Aktürkoğlu to the Portuguese team Benfica for 12 million euros, the yellow-reds sold Tete to the Greek team Panathinaikos for 4 million 750 thousand euros, and Emin Bayram to the Belgian team Westerlo for 4 million euros.

Galatasaray also put 9 million 400 thousand euros into its coffers from the loan fees of Zaniolo and Zaha.

While the club loaned Zaha to the French team Lyon for 3 million euros, it sent Zaniolo on loan to Atalanta for a fee of 6 million 400 thousand euros.

The revenue obtained from the loaning of Zaniolo was the highest amount a club in the Super Lig has put into its coffers through a loan deal.
