A sponsorship agreement that will determine the roadmap for the new era of Erzincanspor, which has been struggling with financial problems, has been announced to the public. Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya announced that he will provide 5 million dollars in support to the club for the 2026-2027 season.
Within the scope of the agreement, Erzincanspor will take the field in the new season with the Chobani logo on its jersey chest.
A signing ceremony and press conference were held at the Erzincan 13 February City Stadium regarding the support agreement.
In addition to Erzincan Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamza Aydoğdu, Erzincanspor Club President Alaattin Yavuz Güneş, and Hamdi Ulukaya, the meeting, which is significant for the future of the 42-year-old Erzincanspor, was attended by Erzincan Mayor Bekir Aksun, AK Party Erzincan Deputy Süleyman Karaman, CHP Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Batuhan Mumcu, and numerous members of the press.
NEW 5 MILLION DOLLAR SUPPORT ANNOUNCED
At the meeting, the details of Hamdi Ulukaya's new financial support for Erzincanspor were shared.
Accordingly, Ulukaya will provide 5 million dollars in funding to the club covering the 2026-2027 season. The support package also includes jersey chest sponsorship.
With this agreement, it was stated that Erzincanspor will carry the Chobani logo on its jersey chest in the new season.
SUPPORT WAS ALSO PROVIDED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR
It was also recalled at the meeting that Hamdi Ulukaya provided 3 million 150 thousand dollars in support at the beginning of the year to help the club overcome its urgent financial difficulties.
It was stated that this funding was used to alleviate the club's debt burden.
