Surprise decision from FIFA: Football transfer calendar is being reshaped!

FIFA, which is preparing to host the Club World Cup between June 14 and July 14, has made a surprise decision regarding the transfer window.

According to a report in Marca, FIFA will open a third transfer window next season due to the Club World Cup.

The summer transfer window begins on July 1 worldwide. FIFA, not wanting teams participating in the Club World Cup between June 14 and July 14 to face any issues, will allow clubs to make transfers between June 1 and June 10.

THEY CANNOT PLAY FOR TWO DIFFERENT TEAMS

On the other hand, players will not be allowed to play for two different teams during the Club World Cup.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be played with teams divided into 8 groups of four. Each group will compete in a single-match format, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the next round. Subsequent rounds will also be played as single-elimination matches to determine the finalists.
