A surprise windfall for Trabzonspor!

Rayyan Baniya, whom Trabzonspor loaned to Italian Serie B side Palermo with a purchase option at the beginning of the season, has become an indispensable player for his new team.

PALERMO HAS INFORMED THE CLUB THAT IT WILL EXERCISE THE PURCHASE OPTION

According to a report by Sabah, Palermo, which is very pleased with Rayyan Baniya's performance, has informed Trabzonspor that it will exercise the purchase option for the 25-year-old player, who also holds an Italian passport, without waiting for the end of the season.

TRABZONSPOR TO EARN 150 MILLION TL

If Palermo acquires Baniya's permanent transfer rights, Trabzonspor will have added a total of 3 million 850 thousand Euro (approximately 150 million TL) to its coffers, including the 3.2 million Euro purchase fee and 200 thousand Euro in conditional bonuses, on top of the 450 thousand Euro loan fee it received at the beginning of the season. 

The current market value of the 25-year-old center-back is set at 2.5 million Euro.

TRABZONSPOR HAD PAID 2.5 MILLION EURO

Trabzonspor had signed the experienced player to a 4+1 year contract after transferring him from Karagümrük for a 2.5 million Euro transfer fee at the beginning of last season. Baniya appeared in 25 matches wearing the burgundy-blue jersey.
