Fenerbahçe hosted Antalyaspor in the 7th week of the Süper Lig. The match ended 2-0 in favor of Fenerbahçe.
Domenico Tedesco evaluated the match on beIN Sports after the final whistle. Here are his words;
"We have a goalkeeper coach. He talks to the players. He asks them if they want to take the penalty or not. We have 4-5 players who can take penalties. Talisca said he wanted to take it. His desire to take the penalty showed confidence and character. That is what we want. At the end of the match, I talked to my players about unity. I told them we played a good game. We needed to be united and we showed that today."
Upon the question "Has Gökhan Gönül left?", Tedesco replied;
“I didn't know him before. Sometimes things may not go as you wish. There was no special situation. When we talk about something internally, we cannot share it with the outside world.…
We will not ask for someone to replace Gökhan. We have a very good technical staff. There is Zeki Hoca. He has been at this club for many years; he is a good person and a very good coach. He helps us in an honest and clear way. It is very good for us that his responsibility increases. Instead of pushing such a valuable person aside, it is better to make more use of him."
