A new claim has emerged from Italy regarding Fenerbahçe, which continues its search for reinforcements for its attacking line during the transfer window. According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the yellow-navy blues wanted to add English left-winger Jonathan Rowe, who plays for Bologna, to their squad but did not receive a positive response from the Serie A side.

The report states that Bologna manager Domenico Tedesco is not keen on the 23-year-old footballer's departure. It is suggested that Tedesco, who managed Fenerbahçe last season, does not want to weaken his team's wing rotation, as they have struggled with offensive productivity during the preseason.

BOLOGNA WANTS TO MAINTAIN ATTACKING STRENGTH

In the assessment by the Italian press, it was noted that Bologna struggled to build play from the wings in their 1-0 friendly loss to Brighton the other day, with attacks developing mostly through the center. For this reason, it was reported that Tedesco wants wing options like Rowe to remain in the squad.

Fenerbahçe had strengthened its squad before the new season with names such as Mason Greenwood, Vedat Muriqi, Nathan Ake, and Romelu Lukaku. The yellow-navy blues started the Süper Lig with a defeat against Gençlerbirliği.

Jonathan Rowe's contract with Bologna runs until June 30, 2029. The English footballer was transferred from Marseille last summer for a transfer fee of 17 million Euros. Having played 43 matches in his Bologna career, Rowe has contributed 8 goals and 5 assists.
