Tension at the national team camp: Star player's father reacts to Montella and Hakan Çalhanoğlu

CLAIMS OF TENSION AT THE CAMP

Sports commentator Haluk Yürekli claimed in a post on the 343 Digital YouTube channel and his X account that a notable incident took place at the hotel where the National Team was staying following the defeat against Paraguay.

According to the claims relayed by Yürekli, the father of national team player Orkun Kökçü expressed his dissatisfaction in a loud voice in the lobby of the hotel where the camp was held. It was alleged that the criticisms were directed at head coach Vincenzo Montella, Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, and team captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu.

'FAMILIES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE CAMP' 

Among the claims is that federation officials have implemented a new policy following the development in question.

Haluk Yürekli claimed that he received information that a decision had been made that players' families would no longer be allowed into the National Team camp following the incident.

"Orkun Kökçü's father criticized Montella, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu in the lobby of the hotel where the national team was staying, in a way that everyone could hear. For this reason, families will no longer be allowed into the camp. We also need to look at why Orkun Kökçü's father is criticizing them."
