Tension between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray over 'agreement'

In a statement on his social media account, Ilıcalı said the following:

"Following long discussions with Galatasaray Board Member İbrahim Hatipoğlu, we have reached an agreement for the positions that occurred in the matches played by both teams this season to be evaluated by two foreign referees.

The two referees, whose names we determined by mutual agreement, will conduct their evaluations during the international break, and all reports will be shared with the public."

DENIAL FROM GALATASARAY TO ILICALI

Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı announced that they had reached an agreement for the positions that occurred in the matches played this season to be evaluated by two foreign referees.

Galatasaray Board Member İbrahim Hatipoğlu denied these claims, stating, "However, making such a statement when there is no decision yet is a serious lack of sincerity."

We had discussions with him about having the matches of this season, including recent seasons, evaluated by neutral referees. RESPONSE FROM Acun Ilıcalı WAS NOT DELAYED

Ilıcalı made a new post following the denial from the Galatasaray side and stated the following:

1- HE MADE THE CALL TO "HAVE THE MATCHES AND POSITIONS EXAMINED" HIMSELF ON LIVE BROADCAST, IN FRONT OF MILLIONS. 

2- WE ANNOUNCED THAT WE ACCEPTED THIS OFFER BY MAKING AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT. 

3- UPON OUR OFFICIAL STATEMENT, HE PERSONALLY CALLED ME AND SAID THEY ACCEPTED. 

WE AGREED TO BRING TWO REFEREES FROM ABROAD. 

4- TWO WEEKS AFTER THESE CONVERSATIONS, WE REACHED OUT TO THEM AND SAID WE WOULD BRING A REFEREE FROM ENGLAND TO EXAMINE THE POSITIONS. 

5- HE SAID THEY HAD NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE A REFEREE AND EXPRESSED THAT THEY WANTED TO DO IT DURING THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK.

WE ACCEPTED. 

6- HE COMMUNICATED TO ME THAT THEY HAD SPOKEN WITH MARKUS MERK, REACHED AN AGREEMENT, AND PROVIDED HIS AVAILABLE DATES. 

WE ACCEPTED.

IN SUMMARY;

THEY MADE THE FIRST CALL IN FRONT OF MILLIONS, WE ACCEPTED. 

WE HELD DISCUSSIONS, WE DETERMINED THE NAMES AND DATES. 

I STATED THAT WE HAD REACHED AN AGREEMENT ON THIS MATTER.
