The Portuguese press outlet Record has made a flash claim regarding the transfer process of Kerem Aktürkoğlu.
According to the report, Benfica executives rejected the latest offer submitted by Fenerbahçe within 30 minutes. Fenerbahçe had initially made a 25 million euro offer for Kerem Aktürkoğlu, but this offer was lowered after Kerem played in the Champions League qualifier match against Nice.
Additionally, it was stated that Benfica President Rui Costa was angered by the statements made by Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç and that the latest offer submitted was rejected. It was also noted that Benfica believes Kerem's value has not decreased due to his appearance in the Nice match.
WHAT DID ALİ KOÇ SAY?
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç made statements regarding the transfer at an event he attended at the İzmir Fenerbahçeliler Association yesterday.
Regarding the transfer of Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Ali Koç said, "Jose Mourinho likes Kerem Aktürkoğlu very much. We made a significant offer to Benfica. The offer was conditional. Such as him arriving for the Feyenoord match or the first match of the league. We also gave a commitment not to play him against Benfica, and we said, 'If you want, we can even write it into the contract.' Instead of writing it into the contract, they ensured this by putting him in the game for 5 minutes, but as of the point we have reached, we have conveyed that the offer we made is no longer valid. We have submitted a new offer and are waiting for news."
