The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that the process for a new term in the Central Referee Board (MHK) has begun. In a statement from the federation, it was reported that MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu has been arrested as part of an ongoing judicial process.
The statement noted that Sebahattin Şahin, the MHK 4th Region Representative, was released under judicial control with a travel ban.
Following these developments, the TFF stated that work is underway to form a new MHK. It was stated that information regarding the appointment of the new president and board members will be shared with the public in the coming days.
Until the appointment process for the new MHK is completed, a 5-member committee will carry out referee appointments for the Ziraat Turkish Cup matches to be played on October 6, 7, and 8.
During this period, appointments will be made by MHK Deputy President Hikmet Öksüzoğlu and MHK members Ali Zağlı, Kamil Abitoğlu, İbrahim Çınar, and Ziya Çetin.
