TFF Arbitration Board confirms betting penalties
The TFF Arbitration Board has rejected the appeals of 71 football players who were penalized for betting activities and upheld their sentences.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Arbitration Board has upheld the penalties of 71 football players who were handed bans ranging from 45 days to 12 months due to betting activities. Additionally, the 12-month ban for assistant referee Necmi Akıncı was also confirmed.
METİN ÖZTÜRK'S PENALTY REDUCED
The 15-day ban imposed on Galatasaray Club Second President Metin Öztürk due to his statements following the match against Fenerbahçe was reduced to 10 days by the TFF Arbitration Board. At the same time, the 2 million lira fine given to Öztürk was reduced to 1 million 333 thousand lira.
The board also upheld the 3-match ban and 120 thousand lira fine given to Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş for insulting members of the opposing team. Fenerbahçe was issued a total fine of 3 million 660 thousand lira for various reasons and a partial stadium stand closure penalty for their next home match. Galatasaray also received a partial stand closure penalty for their next home match.
Göztepe was handed a total fine of 920 thousand lira due to ugly and bad chants by their fans and pitch incidents, along with a partial stand closure penalty for their next home match.
