TFF calls for an extraordinary meeting in Riva

A critical meeting decision has been made at the Turkish Football Federation. According to reports by Türkiye Gazetesi, the TFF Board of Directors will meet in an extraordinary session on Tuesday, October 6, at 15:00 at the Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities.
The decision comes in the wake of the “referees file” investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes. There is significant curiosity regarding the roadmap that will be followed in Turkish football after the international break.
Within the scope of the investigation, the criminal judgeship of peace ordered the arrest of MHK (Central Referee Committee) President Ferhat Gündoğdu, TFF Referees and Observers Association Istanbul Provincial Referee Committee President Emre Kosif, TFF Active Referees Association Istanbul Branch President Ferdi Karadoruk, former TFF Central Referee Committee member Yunus Yıldırım, and TFF Referees and Observers Association Istanbul Branch Organization Officer Alican Sağlar.
Judicial control measures, including a “travel ban” and a “reporting requirement,” were imposed on TFF Education and 4th Region Officer Sebahattin Şahin and former TFF Central Referee Committee Vice President Ahmet Şahin.
It was stated that the procedures for Süper Lig referee Yasin Kol and Süper Lig assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel, who were also detained in the same investigation, are ongoing at the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch.
The TFF, led by President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, is expected to convene and evaluate the process following the Italy match, which will be played in Bologna on Monday, October 5, at 21:45 TSI, as part of the UEFA Nations League A Group 1.
