TFF congratulates the Paralympic National Team

The TFF congratulated the Paralympic National Team, which achieved significant success at the Paralympic Games held in Paris. The statement released on the official TFF website included the following remarks:

"Turkey has achieved a significant success in France at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, which will conclude with the closing ceremony tomorrow, by breaking the medal record in its history of participating in the Paralympic Games for the 8th time, with a total of 28 medals including 6 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our athletes who competed in the games and represented Turkey in the best possible way, especially the Women's Goalball National Team (Goalball), Öznur Cüre Girdi (Para archery - Women's compound bow), Umut Ünlü (Para swimming - 50m freestyle S3 and 200m freestyle S3), Mahmut Bozteke (Para taekwondo - Men's K44 63kg), and İbrahim Bölükbaşı (Para judo - Men's +90kg J2), who brought us the pride of gold medals; the duo of Sadık Savaş and Merve Nur Eroğlu (Para archery - Recurve mixed team), Aysel Önder (Para athletics - Women's 400m T20), Muhammet Khalvandi (Para athletics - Men's javelin throw F57), Abdullah Kayapınar (Para powerlifting - Men's 49kg), Besra Duman (Para powerlifting - Women's 55kg), Kübra Korkut (Para table tennis - Women's S7), Alican Özcan (Para taekwondo - Men's K44 58kg), Fatih Çelik (Para taekwondo - Men's K44 70kg), Gamze Gürdal (Para taekwondo - Women's K44 57kg), and Aysel Özgan (Para shooting - Women's P2 10m air pistol SH 1), who won silver medals; and Fatma Damla Altın (Para athletics - Women's long jump T20), Ecem Taşın Çavdar (Para judo - Women's 48kg J1), Cahide Eke (Para judo - Women's 48kg J2), Nazan Akın Güneş (Para judo - Women's +70kg J1), Nazmiye Muratlı (Para powerlifting - Women's 45kg), Sibel Çam (Para powerlifting - Women's 73kg), Sevilay Öztürk (Para swimming - Women's 50m butterfly S5), Ali Öztürk (Para table tennis - Men's Class 5), the duo of Abdullah Öztürk and Nesim Turan (Para table tennis - Men's Class 4 doubles), Ebru Acer (Para table tennis - Women's Class 11), Meryem Betül Çavdar (Para taekwondo - Women's K44 52kg), and Hakan Akkaya (Wheelchair fencing - Men's epee category A), who brought bronze medals to our country. We congratulate all our athletes who made our people proud and brought us great joy, as well as everyone who contributed to this success, and we hope for even greater achievements at the 2028 Paralympic Games."
