The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) evaluated the performance of Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic in the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby positively. In the meeting held after the match, Vincic's officiating was described as "excellent," and the TFF Board of Directors decided to appoint foreign referees for all derbies following this performance.
FOREIGN REFEREE PRACTICE TO CONTINUE
The TFF also took into account the foreign referee requests from Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş and plans to take a step toward meeting these demands. According to the Sabah newspaper, a decision has been made for foreign referees to officiate in future derbies. Furthermore, it is expected that Vincic will continue to officiate derby matches in the future, provided that UEFA and the Football Association of Slovenia approve.
On the other hand, Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho's remarks after the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby directed at 4th official Kadir Sağlam, stating, "It is a good thing you did not officiate the match, otherwise it would have been a disaster," caused discomfort within the TFF management. It was stated that information would be obtained from Kadir Sağlam regarding the matter.
