TFF issues statement regarding guests taken to EURO 2024

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) faced explosive allegations that it had hosted over 600 guests at the EURO 2024 championship held in Germany using its own resources and had spent more than 3 million euros.
The TFF has issued a statement regarding the number of officials and guests taken to Germany for the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024).
In the statement published on the TFF's website, it was announced that a total of 197 officials and guests were taken to Germany for the championship on a single plane.
The statement included the following:
"The Turkish Football Federation took a total of 121 guests and officials to Germany for the 2024 European Football Championship, consisting of 38 TFF Board of Directors members (full and substitute) and other committee members, 26 staff members, 14 club representatives, 23 media executives, and 20 technical directors, coaches, and former national team players.
The remaining guests, as in previous national matches, consist of 76 people comprising executives, employees, and guests of our national team and TFF sponsors—Turkish Airlines, Nike, Turkcell, Mercedes-Benz, Arçelik, DenizBank, BtcTurk, RAMS, Acıbadem, Damat Tween, Ülker, Trendyol, Prometeon, and sahibinden.com—who have contractual entitlements.
The total number of officials and guests on 1 plane is 197. During this period, when we are focused on the European Football Championship, we would like to inform the public that it is important not to give credence to disinformation aimed at overshadowing the efforts and struggle of our national team."
Sports journalist and writer Tahir Kum stated in posts on his X account that the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) had hosted over 600 guests at the EURO 2024 championship held in Germany using its own resources.
Describing TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi's actions as a "waste project," Kum also alleged that the money spent by the TFF on EURO 2024 guests exceeded 3 million euros.
