Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu made significant remarks during the signing of a cooperation protocol with Yeditepe University. Hacıosmanoğlu emphasized their determination in the struggle for the future of Turkish football.
Hacıosmanoğlu said, "When we took office 16 months ago, we promised to take Turkish football to the place it deserves. Honesty and professional ethics come before everything else for us. For this reason, we always stand on the side of justice."
CLEAN-UP OPERATION IN TURKISH FOOTBALL
Regarding the betting operation, Hacıosmanoğlu stated, "We will not make concessions to anyone in order to protect Turkish football from suspicion, decay, and dirty relationships. We will fight to the end against those who pollute this game in a way that contradicts the spirit and values of sports."
Stating that they are working in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hacıosmanoğlu said they are closely following the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. He concluded his remarks by saying, "On this path we have set out for clean football, we will be successful with the support of our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, our Police Department, and sports fans. It will be a difficult and long road, but the sun will surely rise after the darkness."
