Following their 2-0 defeat to Konyaspor, Galatasaray had issued a statement reacting sharply to the cancellation of Sane's goal.
The following statements were included in the Yellow-Reds' announcement:
"The cancellation of the legitimate goal scored by our team in the Konyaspor-Galatasaray match, despite the clear provisions of the offside rule, is an unacceptable scandal for Turkish football.
This decision, made by the match referee and the so-called referee named Davut Dakul Çelik, who is a VAR referee known for his fanatical support of the team we are competing against for the championship, has damaged not only the result of a single match but also the belief in the fairness and reliability of the league.
We immediately call on the Turkish Football Federation, which is in a position of responsibility, primarily to protect the brand value of Turkish football and to prevent the usurpation of effort on the pitch, to take action."
