The Fatih Tekke era at Trabzonspor has come to an end

In a statement released on the burgundy-blue club's social media accounts, Kılıç stated that they met with Fatih Tekke to comprehensively evaluate the current process and the team's future.

"As a result of our discussions, we have decided to part ways with Fatih Tekke by mutual agreement, in line with Trabzonspor's interests and future goals," said Kılıç, who continued as follows:

"Fatih Tekke added significant value to Trabzonspor during his approximately 18-month tenure. In addition to his contribution to the development of the players added to our squad during this period, he provided our club with significant gains in both sporting and economic terms. He also wrote his name into Trabzonspor history once again by bringing the Turkish Cup to our trophy cabinet. At the point we have reached today, we have reached a mutual understanding with our coach, who stated that he would never allow his presence to harm Trabzonspor in any way, that it is inevitable to draw a new roadmap by keeping the interests of our club above all else."

Thanking Fatih Tekke, Kılıç said, "We thank our coach for the effort he has put in for Trabzonspor to date, his dedicated work, the successes he has brought, and the value he has added to our club. Fatih Tekke, with whom the club parted ways following the defeat away to Amed Sportif Faaliyetler in the Trendyol Süper Lig, played 48 league matches after signing a 4.5-year contract with the burgundy-blue team on March 11, 2025.

Under Tekke's management, the Black Sea team achieved 26 wins, 14 draws, and 8 losses, maintaining a points average of 1.91.
