Samsunspor announced its new manager in a statement on its social media account. Samsunspor announced that Markus Gisdol has been brought in to lead the team.

"Our club has reached an agreement with experienced German coach Markus Gisdol for the position of manager until the end of the season. We wish this to be beneficial for our club and our community."
