The National Team succeeds in reaching the quarter-finals

The Turkish National Football Team faced Austria in the match played in the EURO 2024 Round of 16.

The match played at Leipzig Stadium started almost with a goal.

In the Round of 16 of the 2024 European Football Championship hosted by Germany, the Turkish National Football Team faced Austria at Leipzig Stadium.

The national team, which left the match with a 2-1 victory, wrote its name into the next round. With this result, the crescent-stars achieved the success of reaching the quarter-finals of the European Football Championship for the 3rd time.

The red-and-whites repeated this success after 2000 and 2008.

The match between the two countries will be played at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on Saturday, July 6, at 22.00 Turkish time.

National footballers Orkun Kökçü and İsmail Yüksek became suspended due to the yellow cards they received in the Austria match.

The Turkish National Football Team competed against Austria in Leipzig in the Round of 16 of the 2024 European Football Championship. Before this match, Zeki Çelik, Salih Özcan, Kenan Yıldız, İsmail Yüksek, Mert Günok, Uğurcan Çakır, Mert Müldür, Orkun Kökçü, Kaan Ayhan, and Arda Güler were on the yellow card limit for the national team.

These two footballers will not be able to take part in the quarter-final match to be played against the Netherlands.
