Anadolu Efes, competing in the Basketball Super League and the EuroLeague, will continue its journey with a significant absence due to an injury sustained by team captain Shane Larkin. It was stated that Larkin will be away from the court for 4 to 6 weeks due to a problem in his groin area.

The navy-and-white team announced in a statement that the experienced playmaker does not require surgery, but his treatment will continue for some time. It was also shared with the public that Larkin's recovery status will be monitored regularly by the medical team and the coaching staff.

Following checks by the team doctors, the statement emphasized that Shane Larkin underwent comprehensive examinations and that, at present, there is no need for a surgical procedure. However, it was conveyed that the star player's recovery process is still ongoing and that the medical team will make further assessments regarding his exact return date to the court.

Anadolu Efes Head Coach Pablo Laso shared his feelings on the matter with the following words:

"As one would expect, this is a difficult situation for our team. We want our captain Shane Larkin to be with us at one hundred percent health, and I hope he joins us as soon as possible. I would also like to thank our club's medical team, Shane Larkin, and our club organization for their dedicated work during this process."

Laso also added, "We made an effort to have our captain play in the Turkish Cup, but it was not possible. I knew when I joined the team that Shane Larkin would be off the court for a while. Now, I hope he will be with us again as soon as possible."
