Italy won the first set of the match played at the South Paris Arena 25-14 and emerged victorious in the second set 25-16.
Winning the third set of the contest 25-21, Italy took the match 3-0.

The Sultans of the Net suffered their first defeat in the group stage at Paris 2024 with the Italy match.
The national team had previously defeated the Netherlands 3-2 after coming back from a 2-0 deficit in their first match, and the Dominican Republic 3-1 in their second match.
