The incidents that occurred after Fenerbahçe's 3-2 away victory against Trabzonspor continue to remain on the agenda.
Following the incidents that began when Trabzonspor fans entered the pitch and attacked the Fenerbahçe players who were celebrating their victory, 5 out of the 13 people detained as part of the investigation were arrested.
Hasan Ç., one of the suspects detained after the match and arrested by the 2nd Criminal Court of Peace, stated in his court testimony that he had come to Trabzon from Cologne, Germany, on March 14 with a group of 50 people to watch the match.
Stating that unidentified individuals gave them flares as they were entering the match, Hasan Ç. said that he hid a flare in his belt area to enter the stadium and that he also had a mask with him.
Expressing that he constantly uses the mask at matches he attends in Europe, Hasan Ç. stated that he was among the group that lit flares when the match started, and that he did not throw the flare onto the pitch after it went out.
HE ENTERED THE PITCH IN A MOMENT OF ANGER!
Hasan Ç., who was the first to jump onto the pitch, stated that there was a tense atmosphere from the beginning to the end of the match. Claiming that some Fenerbahçe players made hand gestures towards their side at the end of the match and thus provoked the fans, Hasan Ç. noted that he entered the pitch from the lower marathon stand in a moment of anger.
Defending that he had a mask on his face and that his intention was to react with hand and arm gestures, Hasan Ç. explained that as soon as he approached the celebrating players on the pitch, the security guards and players suddenly came towards him, that he took a defensive stance to protect himself, and that as soon as he did so, the security guards and players came on top of him, knocked him to the ground, and some players began to punch and kick him.
Hasan Ç. claimed that he did not have any sharp or piercing objects on him when he jumped onto the pitch and that he did not hit anyone.
THE ATTACKER WITH THE CORNER FLAG: I HAD NO ACTION AGAINST ANY PLAYER
Engin T., who ran towards the players with a corner flag, said that he watched the match from the north goal-behind stand after buying a ticket with a friend's card because his own Passolig card had expired.
Stating that there was a very tense atmosphere from the beginning to the end of the match and that he got angry when he saw the Fenerbahçe players making gestures towards the stands in the middle of the field at the end of the match, Engin T. noted that he entered the pitch when he saw other fans jumping onto it.
Engin T. argued that he grabbed the corner flag he saw in front of him as he jumped onto the pitch and ran towards the crowd, but that security guards caught him before he hit anyone, that he then left the corner flag on the ground, and that he did not carry out any action against any player.
"THEY PROVOKED THE FANS"
Kadir O., one of the arrested suspects, stated that he watched the match from the lower east stand and alleged that the Fenerbahçe players provoked the fans throughout the match and while celebrating in the middle of the field at the end of the match.
Stating that after a fan jumped onto the pitch from the stands, the Fenerbahçe players began to beat this fan, and that he could not bear to see multiple people beating a single fan and jumped onto the pitch, Kadir O. said that after jumping onto the pitch, he was struck by a security guard and fell to the ground, and that the security guards saved him while he was being beaten.
HIS INTENTION WAS TO PROTECT HIS FRIENDS WHO ENTERED THE PITCH!
Kadir O. declared that he did not remember whether he hit anyone after getting onto the pitch, but noted that he was the person "who touched the Fenerbahçe player" in the camera footage, and that his intention was to protect his other friends who were being beaten, and that he had no intent to commit a crime.
Mahmut Halil K. explained that the Fenerbahçe players began to beat the person who jumped onto the pitch, that he headed towards the lower part of the stand to see the events more clearly, and that he lost his balance and fell due to the pressure from other individuals trying to jump from the stand.
Stating that he wanted to climb back up to the stand but that it was not possible because fans continued to descend onto the pitch, Mahmut Halil K. claimed that he moved along the sideline to climb to the stand from a different point and headed towards where the Trabzonspor bench was, that he did not remember interfering with anyone, and that he had no intent to commit a crime.
Oğuzhan B. also said that he could not bear it and jumped onto the pitch after a Trabzonspor fan who jumped onto the pitch was beaten by 3-4 Fenerbahçe players, and that he regretted it and ran towards the tunnel used for entry and exit to the pitch to climb back to the stand.
Explaining that when he approached the tunnel, Fenerbahçe player Batshuayi kicked him, and that he got angry at this and punched goalkeeper Livakovic who appeared in front of him, Oğuzhan B. claimed that he did not target anyone and that he threw a punch at whoever appeared in front of him because he was in pain from the blow he received.
13 suspects were detained regarding the incidents that occurred after the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match. Among the suspects, Engin T. was arrested for attempted simple assault with a weapon, while Hasan Ç., Mahmut Halil K., Kadir O., and Oğuzhan B. were arrested for attempted simple assault, and 8 were released under judicial control conditions.
