Samsunspor, which has been unable to win for 6 matches in both the Süper Lig and the Conference League, was defeated 2-0 at home by RAMS Başakşehir yesterday. While many players were whistled by fans during the match, Yüksel Yıldırım, who is currently abroad, made a statement on his social media account to address the supporters.

"I AM AS DEVASTATED AS YOU ARE"

Stating that he was addressing the community from El Salvador, Yüksel Yıldırım said, "I watched the match in my hotel room today with my colleagues, and I am as devastated as you are. I want our community to be at ease. Trust me. I did not take over this team in the Champions League, but I guarantee that we will support them together when they are playing in the Champions League. Whatever is necessary for the success of this team will be done within the limits of our resources. Let no one have any doubt about this."

"WE WILL EXTEND REIS'S CONTRACT BY 2 YEARS"

Announcing that head coach Reis's contract, which was set to expire at the end of the season, will be renewed, President Yıldırım said, "We have reached an agreement to extend our coach Thomas Reis's contract for another 2 years. The new contract will be signed mutually during the mid-season break. We have agreed with him on our club's goals and our new transfers. We will solve everything step by step. He told us himself that success will not come in a single day. We will move toward our goals step by step with confident strides. Please be calm and do not put unnecessary pressure on the players. I have no doubt that this team will do what is necessary until the mid-season break. We will succeed together. Together, we are a family."

"I WILL ANNOUNCE A SPECIAL BONUS FOR THE MAINZ MATCH"

Expressing that he will announce a special bonus for the final Conference League match, Yıldırım stated, "Now the goal is the Mainz match. I have changed my work schedule in Latin America. I will fly from El Salvador to Frankfurt, Germany, on Wednesday morning to be with our team. I plan to hold a motivation meeting with the team before the Mainz match to unite with them and give the necessary warnings. Furthermore, I will announce a special bonus for the team to win this match and continue in the tournament within the top 8."
