Trabzonspor advances to the quarterfinals

Trabzonspor faced Çaykur Rizespor in the third match of Group A in the Turkish Cup. The burgundy-blues defeated Çaykur Rizespor 5-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals.

The goals that brought victory to Trabzonspor were scored by Lundstram in the 13th minute, Visca in the 41st minute, Mendy in the 45th minute, Cham in the 59th minute, and Banza in the 83rd minute. Rizespor's goals were scored by Jurecka from a penalty in the 63rd minute and Hojer in the 89th minute.

Having defeated Corendon Alanyaspor 3-0 at home in their first group match and drawn 2-2 away against İskenderunspor in the second, the burgundy-blues reached 7 points with the Rizespor victory and finished the group as leaders.
