Trabzonspor nears Onuachu transfer

Trabzonspor has reached an agreement in principle with 2.01-meter-tall Nigerian center-forward Paul Onuachu, who was on the squad on loan last season. Although Southampton, which was relegated from the Premier League, initially demanded a high transfer fee, it changed its stance following persistent negotiations by Trabzonspor.

The English club initially asked for a double-digit transfer fee but lowered this figure following Trabzonspor's offers. The burgundy-blue team aims to complete the transfer without exceeding 5 million euros.

Following the talks held between the two clubs, official signatures are expected to be signed. A 3-year contract is planned with the 30-year-old forward.
