Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan made statements regarding the process of the transfer of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah. Speaking on an A Spor live broadcast following the KAP notification, Doğan stated that the negotiations lasted approximately 10 days.
Expressing that the transfer has created a wide impact within the community and in Turkey, Doğan said, "We needed a player like Salah. I think it will be very good. May it be auspicious for our community."
Stating that the contacts made with Salah and his agent progressed on a professional basis, Doğan said, "It was a very professional meeting, within the framework of respect, where both sides understood each other and did not struggle at all. We negotiated for about 10 days. As of yesterday, everything became clear."
Emphasizing that the transfer process was carried out in confidentiality, Doğan said that they chose not to provide information to the press to ensure the agreement was not harmed. Addressing the claims regarding the share to be given from jersey sales, Doğan said, "We are giving a percentage, but it is not as the figures written in the press. We will announce it anyway."
Speaking about the sponsorship issue, the Trabzonspor President stated that there is no sponsor who has reached out to them directly at this stage. Doğan said, "I trust my community and our fans. I will call out to all Trabzon businessmen and my friends. I will knock on all of their doors one by one."
