Harsh words from Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan to Uğurcan Çakır

Doğan used the following expressions:

“For Uğurcan to stand before me and say, 'I am asking for permission to leave this team for Istanbul clubs - regardless of which team it is,' was one of the biggest shocks of my life. It had never crossed my mind.

Uğurcan is the team captain, and that team on the pitch is entrusted to Uğurcan. 

As I said, I love him very much, that is a separate issue, but I love Trabzonspor more than anyone. I am the president of Trabzonspor, and I have to defend the interests and rights of this club everywhere. For me, the highest office is Trabzonspor. No one can give the cold shoulder to Trabzonspor, no one can say 'I am offended' to Trabzonspor.

I need captains like Mr. Dozer Cemil. I need captains who say, 'I will not take the field behind the captain of another team.' 

Or I need Fatih Tekkes who, at a signing ceremony while signing for another team, say, 'I am a Trabzonspor fan.' 

I need people like Oulai, who burst into tears on the pitch because he couldn't play. 

We need these. 

We need players who can represent this city and this team with their character. 

I wish Uğurcan success in his future National Team career."
