Transfer admission from Emre Belözoğlu! 'We want players from Fenerbahçe'

MKE Ankaragücü Manager Emre Belözoğlu said they secured a valuable victory in their 3-1 win against Kasımpaşa in the 20th week of the Trendyol Süper League.

Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Belözoğlu noted the following:

"First of all, my condolences to our nation. Nine of our soldiers gave their lives for the homeland and were martyred. I wish patience to their families. Our country is very strong. Long live the homeland, but it deeply saddens us that such young brothers of ours lose their lives like this. As for the match, it was an important one. The analyses we made after the Antalyaspor match showed that even if the results didn't reflect it, we won the game in terms of performance. After 5 draws and 1 loss, a pressure to win matches had built up. The process after the Antalya match and the reaction of the players make me happy as a coach and as an older brother to them. Winning this match was very valuable for us."

Emphasizing that the transfer ban will be lifted and reminding that the management has given their word to the community, Belözoğlu gave the following response to questions about transfers:

"Emre Mor and Miha Zajc are not on our agenda. However, we do have expectations regarding some players from Fenerbahçe. The process may progress according to the transfers they make. We will make high-quality transfers. We have some names in mind from within Fenerbahçe. They have a very large squad. With their new transfers, there are names that İsmail Hoca and the management might not consider. If we determine a profile, I will use my personal relationships. Deniz Türüç from Başakşehir is also not on our list."

Stating that transfers will be made with his knowledge, Belözoğlu said, "We will not make transfers just for the sake of it. As someone who has become the newest fan of Ankaragücü, I have grown to love this community very much. I feel very happy here. I want to meet the expectations as well. Together, we want to bring the Ankaragücü community to the place it deserves."
