Transfer statement from Fenerbahçe
In an official statement released by Fenerbahçe Sports Club, a transfer from Aston Villa has been announced.

The statement from Fenerbahçe included the following:
"Our club has reached an agreement in principle with Aston Villa and the player himself for the transfer of Diego Carlos, who currently plays for Aston Villa.
The Brazilian player has been invited to Istanbul to undergo medical examinations and to advance transfer negotiations."
